Winter doesn't seem to be over yet with temperatures expected to feel close to minus 30 Tuesday night.

The City of Winnipeg is sending a reminder to residents ahead of the extremely cold temperatures forecasted in the next few days. With an extreme wind chill, there can be a risk of frostbite.

Some tips to keep in mind are to avoid being outside for a long period, check in on friends or family who live alone, bring pets inside, and limit how long they're outside.

Recognizing the symptoms of hypothermia, such as confusion, shivering, difficulty speaking, sleepiness, and stiff muscles. If these symptoms are present, seek immediate medical attention. Severe hypothermia can be life-threatening.
