Manitoba Chamber Orchestra 2024/25 concert lineup
The MCO is encouraging audiences to "Live the Music" in their upcoming season. Featuring "local heroes, returning faves, and bold innovators," the eight concerts should challenge, delight, engage, and entertain audiences and the music-loving community. The organization has also pivoted to a new ticketing system, Showpass, promising a smoother online delivery. 8- and/or 6-ticket packages available with both seat section selection and rush seating offered. He makes Sally Beamish’ iconic saxophone concerto absolutely sing in this concert warmly ushering in the spring. 6 / SOLACE 7.30pm, Wednesday, April 9 Aisslinn Nosky, violin and leader; Caitlin Broms-Jacobs, oboe Canada’s famous violinist-conductor reminds us why Bach called music “a refreshment of the soul” in this escape to the otherworldly sounds of Penderecki, Morlock, Vivaldi and B himself. 7 / ᐊᐊᐧᓱᐃᐧᐣ AWASOWIN 1.00pm & 7.30pm, Thursday, May 1 Cris Derksen, cello; Larry Strachan, conductor Gather and warm yourself by the fire.
