Two people are recovering following a weekend stabbing in St. Boniface.

At around 2 a.m. on Saturday, Winnipeg Police were called to Provencher Boulevard and Tache Avenue, where officers found three adult male victims, two of whom were suffering from serious injuries from the stabbing.

Officers provided medical care until paramedics arrived at the scene. The two male victims were transported to hospital in unstable condition but later upgraded to stable.

Police say the victims were walking to their vehicle when four unknown male suspects confronted them. The armed suspects attempted to rob them and then assaulted two of the victims with a knife, causing significant injuries. The victims fled and contacted police.

No arrests have been made. The Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate.
