Two Winnipeg teens face several charges after allegedly robbing a man outside Union Station.

The incident happened on Wednesday evening. Winnipeg Police say a man in his 20s was sitting outside the station at 123 Main Street at around 9 p.m. when he was confronted by two suspects demanding a cigarette.

When he refused to turn over more cigarettes, the youth robbed him at gunpoint, stealing his cigarettes and money. They then assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene.

Police quickly located and arrested the suspects in a recreational area of the Forks Market.

The victim did not require medical attention.

A 16-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl from Winnipeg were arrested and face several charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
