Three adults are facing charges after breaking and entering into 40 condominium and apartment complexes and stealing $100,000 worth of items.

Throughout the past 40 days (Nov 4 to Dec 14, 2022), Members of the Property Crime Unit worked extensively to link break-ins and to find the three suspects responsible.

Investigation reports suggest that six vehicles were stolen, about $100,000 worth of items were stolen and approximately $250,000 in damage was caused to the properties and vehicles.

In many incidents, doors and storage lockers were pried open, and belongings were stolen. Vehicles were also broken into; in one case, a shotgun was stolen from an SUV.

On December 15, 2022, at approximately 2:10 p.m., a suspect (Bruce) was observed driving a stolen vehicle near Henderson Highway and Chelsea Avenue. Officers stopped the sedan, and he was taken into custody.

At approximately 8:42 p.m., two other suspects (Nicholson and Custer) were taken into custody during a traffic stop near Main Street and Redwood Avenue.

On December 16, 2022, the Property Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Major Crimes Unit and Tactical Support Team, executed a search warrant in the St. John’s neighbourhood. As a result, an estimated $10,000 of stolen property was recovered.

Harris Delaney Bruce, a 26-year-old male from Winnipeg, has been charged with:

Dwayne Allan Nicholson, a 44-year-old male from Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- Break Enter & Theft – Place (x34)
- Break & Enter with Intent
- Theft Under $5,000 (x29)
- Theft of Motor Vehicle (x6)
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle

Angelina Rose Custer, a 22-year-old female from Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- Break Enter & Theft – Place (x15)
- Theft Over $5,000
- Theft Under $5,000 (x3)
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle

The three were detained.

The WPS also shared a Google Map image of all the condos and apartment complexes that were robbed throughout the past 40 days.
