Daytime highs in Winnipeg will be above the seasonal average (and above zero degrees) as the week gets underway. But rain and falling temperatures later in the week could pose problems.

Monday has a clearing sky in store for the Red River Valley, along with a high of 2 degrees. Light winds will let residents enjoy the mild temperatures.

The average daytime high for the last week of November is -5, and Tuesday will also squeak above that with a high of -3. There is currently a 60 per cent chance of flurries for the late afternoon, and winds will once again be light at 15 km/h.

On Wednesday the temperature jumps well above normal, with a high of plus 5 currently forecasted. That could also pose problems, however, as there is a 60 per cent chance of showers before temperatures drop to -8 overnight.

By Thursday and Friday things return more to normal with daytime highs of -6 and -5 respectively.

Overnight lows also return to the normal range beginning on Thursday evening, with lows between -12 and -15 expected the last few days of the week.
