Baroque fans rejoice!

The first-ever Winnipeg Baroque Festival kicks off this weekend with the choral forces of Canzona, Dead of Winter and Polycoro joining together in a celebration of 17th and 18th century music.

Exploring masterworks and overlooked gems of the English, German and Italian Baroque era, the unprecedented collaboration features three of the city’s top ensembles made up of some of the best singers in the province.

Canzona artistic director Kathleen Allan, executive director of Dead of Winter Roland Deschambeault, and Polycoro executive and creative director Zohreh Gervais were on Morning Light with the details!

All concerts take place at Crescent Arts Centre (Crescent Fort Rouge United Church). Festival passes are $80 with individual tickets at $30. To purchase, visit: www.deadofwinter.ca
