Next Friday and Saturday (Dec 12 & 13) the WSO will present two distinct versions of Handel's Messiah. The WSO's Neil Middleton and the co-director of the Mennonite Festival Chorus, Mr. Rudy Schellenberg, are live in th studio with Michael Wolch Friday morning right after the 8:00 AM news. Tune in!

On Friday night, Dec 12th---if you’ve ever been swept away with the urge to sing in Handel’s Messiah, your time has come! An event for the whole family, you’ll be able to sing your heart out along with others who have a similar love of classical music. The audience is arranged by voices: soprano, alto, tenor and bass. If you’d rather sit with friends or family, there’s also a section for mixed voices. Of course if you’d rather not sing, no one will force you to, but you might find yourself having more fun if you let your inhibitions sit this one out.

On Saturday night Dec 13th - a tradional performance for those that just want to sit back and enjoy the music.

The WSO's Neil Middleton will tell us more about the two concerts and we'll also chat with Rudy Schellenberg, who is the co-director of the Mennonite Festival Chorus. They will be performing and helping the audience at the sing-a-long.

Tune in to Morning Light next week when renowned Canadian conductor Ivars Taurin will be live in the Classic 107 studio. The founding director of the Tafelmusik Chamber Choir will be conducting both peformances.
