Winnipeggers looking to keep busy this summer have plenty of fun activities to choose from.

On Tuesday, the Assiniboine Park Conservancy announced its line-up of music, movies, wellness and art, all part of the park's Summer Entertainment Series.

"There are few things better than spending a warm summer evening at the Park listening to live music, enjoying some cool jazz in the shady Leo Mol Sculpture Garden on a steamy Sunday afternoon, or snuggling under a blanket with your kids watching one of their favourite movies at the Lyric Theatre,” said Laura Cabak, Director of Communications and Public Relations, Assiniboine Park Conservancy. “The Summer Entertainment Series offers something for everyone and is where the best summer memories are made!"

The series will kick off with a family-friendly Indigenous Peoples Day celebration on Saturday, June 22, followed by a Canada Day celebration on July 1.

Throughout the summer months, music lovers can enjoy open-air concerts at the Lyric Theatre and Performance Garden at The Leaf. Families can also enjoy movies at the park with a variety of family-friendly features, including The Paw Patrol Movie and Wish, being played every Friday evening during August.

The Summer Entertainment Series runs from June through August.
