A popular attraction is roaring with excitement as they prepare to welcome back guests.

On May 9, the Assiniboine Park Zoo closed its doors to the public due to COVID-19 concerns. Now, on Tuesday, they will reopen.

"We look forward to welcoming you back!" they say in a statement. "The plan to re-open was made after careful consideration and in consultation with Manitoba Public Health."

Before Tuesday, Zoo members will be able to attend a preview on Sunday and Monday.

The reopening includes Tundra Grill takeout and concessions and its retail operations.

The Zoo will look slightly different as they ask visitors to follow one-way traffic and physical distance. While the zoo is primarily outdoors, they are recommending visitors wear a mask when distancing is not possible. There will be capacity limits.
