The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) is asking the public to help them locate a man who attempted to abduct a child Wednesday afternoon. 

On May 25, 2022, at 3:40 p.m., members of the WPS responded to the 200 block of Austin Street North for a report of an attempted abduction. A caller had reported seeing an adult male attempt to grab a child that had been in the area. The child was physically unharmed, and the suspect fled in a silver-coloured sport utility vehicle (SUV). 

The male is described as Caucasian in appearance, 35-40 years old, and approximately 5’7” in height with a medium build. He was unshaven with curly brown hair and wore a ball cap, a dark-coloured t-shirt, dark khaki pants and blue runners.
