We continue our look at this year's Women's Musical Club of Winnipeg Scholarship winners with Tony Zhou. The pianist was the recipient of a $2500 Scholarship. He was also the 3rd place winner of the 2014 WMC McLellan Competition. Missed it? Watch the video here!

Since his orchestral debut at 10, Winnipeg pianist, Tony Zhou has performed as soloist with orchestras such as the Polish Baltic F. Chopin

Classical Pianist Tony ZhouPhilharmonic, Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, and Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.

He has obtained a Bachelor of Music from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music as a recipient of the Jacobs School’s Premier Young Artist Award, Music Faculty Award, Dorothy L. Herriman Award, and Ernest Hoffzimmer Award.

He is now pursuing his Master of Music at the Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music as an Associate Instructor of Piano.

 

 

On Thursday December 29th, all 5 winners of this year's scholarships will be performing in a special recital at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. The concert begins at 7PM. For more information and tickets, go HERE.
