City crews are busy plowing Monday after an Alberta Clipper dropped several centimetres of snow across Winnipeg.

Crews started plowing streets, sidewalks, pathways and back lanes this morning and will continue as needed.

Workers are scheduling their work based on the street priority system.

Motorists are encouraged to drive to the conditions and use extreme caution when near heavy equipment.

"A reminder that the annual winter route parking ban is in effect. There is no parking between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. on streets designated as winter routes. Those parked in violation may be ticketed and towed to the towing company’s compound," said the City of Winnipeg in a press release.

Winter routes are marked by signage.

The winter route parking ban will remain in effect until March 1, 2024.
