The Manitoba Band Association (MBA) celebrates their 40th Anniversary this year and Classic 107 is excited to partner with them.

Though summer is officially behind us, we here at Classic 107 – in collaboration with the MBA – are excited to relive musical summer memories by inviting outstanding participants of MBA Summer Band Camps to the Classic 107 studio. Instrumentalists will perform a solo piece, chat about their summer camp experience and be awarded a certificate of achievement for their musical achievement.

The Manitoba Band Association is a non-profit charitable organization that promotes the growth and development of band in Manitoba. Supported by over 400 music educators, music students and community bands, they play an integral role in Manitoba’s vibrant and dynamic band scene. You can read more about the MBA by visiting their website: www.mbband.org

Join us over the next few weeks as we meet the recipients!

Meet our first Classic 107 Musical Achievement recipient Jillian Ivison. The young trombonist attended the Manitoba Band Association's Oakbank band camp this past summer. Jillian joined Simeon Rusnak in the Diamond Lane. Missed it? Watch it here!

Tune in Friday afternoon during the 4 o'clock hour when we'll meet Dillan Karamchand who attended the Garden City Camp this past summer. Host Simeon Rusnak will present Dillan with the Classic 107 Certificate of Musical Achievement.
