This week marked the 100th anniversary of the First World War. Centered in Europe it began on July 28 1914 and lasted until November 11, 1918. More than 9 million combatants were killed, making it one of the deadliest conflicts in history and paving the way for major political changes, including revolutions in many of the nations involved.

Tune in this holiday Monday morning when Classic 107 host Michael Wolch commemorates this anniversary with music by Ernest Farrar, George Butterworth, Cecil Coles, and more.

Michael will also be joined by artist and historian Philip Hayes. Philip has a very keen interest and is extremely knowledgeable about the music from this particular era.

Morning Light is heard Monday - Friday from 6:00 AM until 10:00 AM
