6-year-old Eli Groenheide was February's winner of a $50 Gift Certificate from Toad Hall Toys. His great-aunt nominated Eli. Read her touching entry here!
Eli stopped by the station Tuesday morning to pick up his Toad Hall Toys gift certificate wih Mom Kate and his two litttle sisters.
Here is what Noreen Janzen wrote to us about her nephew:
I'd like to nominate my great-nephew Eli for the prize...he is amazing! He's five years old, and this past October he rode all 30 kms of the Ride for Refuge cyclathon (an organization that works to end human trafficking) He took on this project with his grandma, and together they rode and were the top fundraisers, raising $4500.00 for the charity. Not only did little Eli ride the full 30 k, he did all the training and the whole race without one word of complaint! He has such quiet determination and grit, I think he qualifies for a Toad Hall gift card:)

Eli says he just wants to help kids get out of bad situations and he will do the ride again next year. He says he's looking forward to going to Toad Hall Toys--specifically to check out their Lego collection. Eli says he also plans to share his gift certificate with his sisters . . . maybe.
