Public Health says there are 1,383 active COVID-19 cases.

There are 124 new COVID-1 cases Wednesday, including 63 people who are not vaccinated, 55 people who are fully vaccinated, and seven people who are partially vaccinated. 

Manitoba's five-day test rate is 5.2 per cent. 

New cases by health regions include:

  • 48 in Southern, with 31 people not fully vaccinated
  • 31 people in Winnipeg, 15 people not fully vaccinated
  • 20 people in Prairie Mountain, eight people who are not fully vaccinated
  • 21 in Interlake-Eastern, 12 people not fully vaccinated
  • four people in Northern, three people who are not fully vaccinated

 

There are 67,999 total COVID-19 cases and 65,295 recoveries. There are 1,383 active cases in Manitoba.

 

Deaths and hospitalizations

There are now 1,321 deaths after two new deaths were announced Wednesday. 

Deaths since Tuesday include:

  • a male in his 40s from the Northern health region (reported Tuesday)
  • a male in his 60s from the Southern Health-Santé Sud region (reported Tuesday)
  • a male in his 70s from the Southern Health-Santé Sud region (reported Tuesday)
  • a male in his 80s from the Southern Health-Santé Sud region, linked to the outbreak at Third Crossing Manor (reported Tuesday)
  • a male in his 90s from the Southern Health-Santé Sud region, linked to the outbreak at Third Manor Crossing (reported Wednesday)
  • a male in his 90s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to the outbreak at Grace Hospital (4 North), Surgery Unit (reported Wednesday

There are 143 people in the hospital including 93 with active cases.

There are 24 people in intensive care with 17 having active cases.

 

Outbreaks

Selkirk Regional Health Centre's medicine unit has been moved to the Critical (Red) level on the Pandemic Response System after the province declared an outbreak.

Outbreaks are over at:

  • École Sacré-Coeur's Grade 2 class in Winnipeg
  • Ralph Maybank School's Grade 5/6 class in Winnipeg
  • Portage District General Hospital's medical unit
  • Neepawa Health Centre

 

Enforcement

The province says 11 $298 tickets to individuals for failure to wear a mask in an indoor public place and four $1,296 tickets to individuals were given out in the past week.

Two $8,550 tickets to individuals for the Federal Quarantine Act were handed out.

There were 87 warnings issued last week.
