There are more than a dozen new COVID-19 cases as of Wednesday morning.

Seventeen new COVID-19 cases are being announced Wednesday including:

  • nine in the Winnipeg Health Region
  • five cases in the Interlake-Eastern Health Region
  • two in the Southern Health - Saunte Sud Health Region
  • one in the Prairie Mountain Health Region Health Region
  • zero cases in the Northern Health Region

Manitoba's five-day test positivity rate is 2.3 per cent.

There are 57,706 total cases with 515 of those being active. The total number of deaths remains at 1,181.

 

Hospitalizations

less than one hundred people are in care for COVID-19. The 94 cases include 33 with active cases and 61 who are no longer infectious. 

There are 18 people in intensive care with five of those being active cases.

 

Vaccines

All supersites are taking walk-ins. To date, 1,816,658 doses of vaccine have been administered.

As of Wednesday, 80 per cent of all eligible Manitobans have received their first COVID-19 vaccine, and 71.6 per cent their second dose.
