Winnipeggers looking to purchase new art while donating to a great cause will have an opportunity to do just that this weekend.

Grands 'n' More Winnipeg, which aims to raise awareness within the broader community about the desperate plight of African grandmothers and their orphaned grandchildren, will host its annual Art from the Attic event on Sunday at St. Vital Centre.

The group says over 2200 pieces of hangable art will be available at the sale, and most items will be priced under $50.

"At these prices, you can make every wall a “gallery” wall," said the group on social media.

All the art pieces were donated to the organization, with volunteers picking up donated art and cleaning each piece in preparation for the sale.

The one-day sale will happen on Sunday, October 15, 11 a.m.- 6 p.m. at St. Vital Centre.

All funds raised go to the Stephen Lewis Foundation Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign, providing funds to African grandmothers to use to provide care for their sick children and grandchildren.
