Performing in Winnipeg tonight (March 22) as part of the Virtuosi Concert Series, Calidore String Quartet Cellist Estelle Choi stopped by the Classic 107 studio to talk with host Claudia Garcia de la Huerta. Listen here!

Noted for their fiery brilliance, mature depth and incredible cohesion as an ensemble, the Calidore String Quartet has just come away with top prize from half a dozen international and American competitions.

The concert is called Passion & Joy and will feature Beethoven's String Quartet No 1, Mendelssohn's String Quartet No 2, as well as music by Golijov.

Tonight's show is at the University of Winnipeg (3rd floor) in Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall
