Free transit for Vets

Armed forces Veterans, current serving personnel, including cadets and reservists, and one companion can use Winnipeg Transit, including Transit Plus, free of charge on Nov. 11.

Those who wish to use this free service may do so by wearing a military uniform, or by presenting a military identification or CF1 card at the time of boarding.

“Lest We Forget” will be displayed as a banner message on all Winnipeg Transit buses on Friday, Nov. 11, in rotation with regular route and destination messages.

At 11 a.m., buses will pull over and stop at safe locations to recognize one minute of silence.

Our radio station will also have special music, as well as a moment of silence at 11 a.m.
