Fire officials are investigating following a fire in the North End Monday evening. 

Shortly after 9 p.m., the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a two-storey home in the 300 block of Aberdeen Avenue.

When crews arrived at the location, black smoke was seen coming from the house. Firefighters attacked the fire from inside the structure and were able to get it under control by 9:52 p.m. 

Firefighters searched the home to ensure no one was inside. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
