Environment Canada has ended a fog advisory that was issued for parts of southern Manitoba due to near-zero visibility.

The advisory had been placed for areas such as Winnipeg, Portage la Prairie, Dauphin, Gimli, Beausejour, Whiteshell and Sprague.

From Environment Canada

A stagnant air mass has led to the development of dense fog over southern Manitoba this morning.

The fog will dissipate early this afternoon.

Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero.

If travelling, be prepared for areas of near-zero visibility. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
