Some areas of Manitoba are expected to see freezing rain Wednesday morning.

Environment Canada has issued warnings for three regions as of 5:30 a.m. and says that more could be issued as the system pushes east.

"Freezing rain is pushing in from Saskatchewan this morning and should last a few hours," the forecaster says in the warnings. "Freezing rain warnings may need to be expanded east as the morning progresses."

Travel could become difficult as ice builds up on roads and highways. Last week a number of collisions occurred after freezing rain moved through southern Manitoba on Friday afternoon and evening.

Motorists should be prepared to adjust to the driving conditions. You can find current highway conditions at the link below.
