A mixture of rain, snow and slush on Wednesday has led to a very slippery commute Thursday morning.

Roads both in and outside of Winnipeg are either ice or slush-covered.

One caller to the radio station said the perimeter highway is glare ice, and he is urging drivers to be safe on the roads.

As of 8:30 a.m., Thursday, April 7, the following highways are closed:

  • Highway 190 (CentrePort Canada Way), from Highway 101 to Brookside Blvd

This was the eighth time within the past few months that the Perimeter Highway has been shut down due to poor driving conditions.
