Manitobans will want to keep the sunscreen and sunglasses handy this week.

Very little cloud cover is expected for most of the week, with plenty of sunshine.

Highs are forecasted to be in the high-20s and low-30s as well. Right now, it should be a dry heat with little humidity expected. That should also mean there will be no thunderstorm activity this week.

Much of southern Manitoba experienced a number of powerful storms last week and heavy rainfall, with some communities recording over 100 mm of rain on Wednesday alone. A powerful storm also caused damage to the old rink in Niverville, and a tornado moved through Altona.

The only outlier this week is Friday when clouds are expected to cover most of the sky and a high of 21. Environment Canada says sunshine should return for the weekend with highs again in the mid and upper-20s.
