As people prepare for Monday's solar eclipse one of the common questions is "how can I watch the eclipse safely?" The good news is a simple craft project with items you already have around the house will take you less than five minutes.

A pinhole projector allows you to watch the moon move in front of the sun during the event while not having to worry about the dangerous rays of the sun.

All you need to make a pinhole projector is a cardboard box, a sheet of paper, scissors, tape (duct tape works best), aluminum foil, and a pin.
