A 34-year-old man is in custody after receiving a report that numerous Molotov Cocktails were being stored in his apartment suite.

Winnipeg Police responded to his suite in the 400 block of Redwood Avenue shortly after 5 p.m. on Friday and immediately noticed a strong smell of kerosene coming from inside.

Members of the Bomb Unit attended and safely removed four Molotov Cocktails and a quantity of kerosene.

A 34-year-old man was arrested and has been charged with four counts of unlawful possession of explosives and four counts of failing to comply with conditions of a release order. 

He remains in custody.
