A 28-year-old man is facing a long list of charges in connection to a fatal hit-and-run in Transcona this past weekend.

At around 2:20 a.m on Sunday, emergency crews responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Bond Street and Kildare Avenue West.

Police say a 24-year-old woman had to be extracted from her vehicle. She was transported to hospital in critical condition but succumbed to her injuries.

The driver and occupants of the other vehicle fled the scene.

The Winnipeg Police Service’s Traffic Division has now identified and charged the driver of that second vehicle.

28-year-old Tyler Scott Goodman has been charged with impaired driving, dangerous driving causing death and failure to stop at the scene of an accident.

The investigation continues by members of the Traffic Division. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-7085.
