COVID-19 hospitalization rates are just under 70 people, with most of the active cases in people who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Since Saturday, Manitoba has confirmed 171 new COVID-19 cases. This includes:

  • 72 cases on Saturday
  • 58 cases on Sunday
  • 41 cases Monday

Manitoba's five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 3.2 per cent, up 0.2 per cent since Friday. Winnipeg's rate Monday is 1.6 per cent.

Monday's new cases include:

  • one new case, not fully vaccinated, in the Interlake–Eastern health region;
  • two new cases, with one not fully vaccinated, in the Northern health region;
  • five new cases, with four not fully vaccinated in the Prairie Mountain Health region;
  • 21 new cases, with 17 not fully vaccinated, in the Southern Health–Santé Sud health region; and
  • 12 new cases, with nine not fully vaccinated, in the Winnipeg health region.

There were three reported deaths in Manitoba including:

  • a female in her 60s from the Winnipeg Health region, linked to an B.1.617.2 (delta) variant of concern
  • a female in her 70s from the Interlake–Eastern health region
  • a female in her 70s from the Interlake–Eastern health region

 

There are currently 569 active cases. There are a total of 59,368 confirmed COVID-19 vases in Manitoba, with 57,597 recoveries.

 

Hospitalizations 

In the hospital, there are 69 people receiving treatments related to COVID-19, including 29 people with active COVID-19. This includes 40 people who are no longer infectious.

There are 14 in intensive care, including seven people with active COVID-19, and seven people who are no longer infectious but continue to require critical care.
