More than one hundred new cases of COVID-19 are being confirmed Friday.

There are 105 new COVID-19 cases in Manitoba, almost doubling the previous daily count of 54. 

New cases include:

  • 33 in Winnipeg
  • 30 in Southern Health-Sante Sud
  • 17 in Prairie Mountain Health
  • 14 in the Northern region
  • 11 in Interlake-Eastern 

 

Manitoba's five-day test positivity rate has increased to three per cent.

Out of the new cases, 77 people have not received a COVID-19 vaccine, nine are partially vaccinated, and 19 are fully vaccinated. 

There are 539 active cases and 57,464 recoveries. One more person has died, bring the total number of deaths to 1,200. No details have been released on this death.

 

Hospitalizations 

In the hospital, there are 75 people with 36 of those having active COVID-19 cases.

Seventy-seven per cent of all active cases in the hospital are of unvaccinated patients, 14 per cent are fully vaccinated, and 11 per cent are partially vaccinated. 

In intensive care, 15 people are being treated with nine of those having active COVID-19 cases. 78 per cent of all intensive care patients are not vaccinated, and 22 per cent are partially vaccinated. There are no fully vaccinated people in ICU.
