A portion of Main Street was closed following a crash Thursday morning that resulted in a diesel spill.

Emergency crews responded to Main Street and McKay Avenue at around 6:30 a.m.

As a result of the crash, southbound Main Street was completely closed at Templeton Avenue for about an hour.

The Winnipeg Police Service says that the road was reopened to at least one lane of traffic around 8 a.m.

Meanwhile, a separate collision on Lagimodiere also caused large delays for traffic in that area.

Emergency crews were at the scene and blocked the northbound curb lane at Marion Street, until after 8 a.m.

Lagimodiere was also impacted by another collision at Maginot. That crash took out the signal lights and police were on scene to direct traffic through the busy intersection.
