Today is election day in Manitoba.

People across the province will vote for mayors, councillors and school trustees.

Eleven candidates are vying to be Winnipeg's mayor. Brian Bowman, who announced in 2020 he would not seek re-eleciton, has held that title since 2014.

Close to 200 polling stations are available across the city, and information on where to vote, can be found on your voter's notice card.

If you do not have a voter's notice card, call 311 or type in your address on this city website to find your voting location.

Everyone will be required to show identification before being given a ballot, either one government-issued piece of identification with your name, address and photo on it, such as a license or enhanced identification card, or any two pieces of ID with your name and address on it, such as a bill.

Polls open at 8 a.m. and will shut down at 8 p.m.
