Summer may be inching closer to its end in Winnipeg but construction season is still in full swing.

A new project on Donald will see significant slowdowns for motorists in the area of Confusion Corner.

Pylons and barricades went up yesterday for both northbound and southbound traffic on Donald between Stradbrook Ave. and Scott St.

Each direction is now reduced to just one lane of traffic for the four-block stretch outside of rush hour. However, the City of Winnipeg says it will open up one northbound lane rush hour to help with congestion.

The project is currently slated to last until November 10.

Donald has a number of construction zones still underway, including northbound from Bell Ave. to the Midtown Bridge, and southbound from Portage Ave. to Graham Ave. Both of those projects are currently slated to wrap up this month.
