Four people have been temporarily relocated after their home went up in flames Sunday afternoon.

At 2:21 p.m. the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a one-and-a-half-storey home in the 500 block of Pritchard Avenue.

At the scene, crews saw heavy smoke coming from the home. Firefighters attacked the fire from inside the house, declaring the fire under control by 3:09 p.m.

Everyone was able to self-evacuate before crews arrived. No injuries were reported.

The City of Winnipeg’s Emergency Social Services (ESS) team responded to the scene to help 4 residents find alternate accommodations.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
