The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) is asking for the public's help in what may have happened after they found a severely injured man early Saturday morning. 

On August 13, 2022, at approximately 5:30 a.m., the WPS responded to the southeast sidewalk of the Osborne Street Bridge after receiving a report of an injured male.
 
Officers from the East and West Districts attended and located an adult male suffering significant trauma to the upper body. A 28-year-old male from Winnipeg was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where he remains.
 
The Major Crimes Unit has assumed the investigation and requests public assistance from anyone who may have been walking or driving in the area at the time of the incident. Any area residents with surveillance footage or motorists with dash camera footage are urged to contact investigators.
