Winnipeg police are busy Wednesday evening investigating a serious incident in the Westwood area.

Several police cars and emergency vehicles lined Portage Avenue between Golf and Greenacre Boulevards around 6:30 p.m.

Traffic is slow going in the area as police continue to occupy the two eastbound curb lanes on Portage Avenue.

Police tape can be seen surrounding a vehicle outside of a nearby restaurant.
