Winnipeg fire crews were kept busy Wednesday morning battling a house fire in the West Broadway area.
The fire broke out at around 6:23 a.m. in a three-storey, multi-family residence in the 100 block of Sherbrook Street.
When crews arrived on scene, smoke could be seen coming from the building. The fire was declared under control just before 7:00 a.m.
Everyone was able to escape the building safely and no injuries were reported.
Sherbrook Street was closed for a few hours while crews extinguished the fire. The road has since reopened.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
