Manitoba Hydro has shared that the cause of the outage was a broken broken pole.

At approximately 8:30 a.m. hydro crews were able to redirect power around the damaged area to restore power to the Southdale, Niakwa and Kingston Row areas.

However, repairs to the broken pole will continue throughout the day.
