COVID-19 enforcement tickets and warnings are dropping as restrictions loosen in Manitoba.

Between June 21 and 27, 37 COVID-19 enforcement tickets and 62 warnings were issued, lower than the previous week's efforts.

Tickets include:

  • 31 $1,296 tickets to individuals, with 29 of those for gatherings in private residences or outdoors and the other two for failure to self-isolate
  • three $5,000 tickets to business
  • three $298 tickets to individuals for failure to wear a mask in indoor public places

This is a third of the number of tickets and warnings the province gave out three weeks ago. To date, 4,972 warnings and 2,016 tickets have been issued.

"As Canada Day approaches, Manitobans are reminded that all current public health orders remain in effect including gathering size limits," the province says in a statement.

Enforcement officers will continue to be present at provincial parks, which have a 25 person gathering size limit.
