Manitoba's five-day test positivity rate is less than six per cent.

There are 198 new COVID-19 cases in Manitoba, bringing the total number of cases to 69,507.

Out of Friday's cases, 100 people are not vaccinated, 82 people are fully vaccinated, and 16 people are partially vaccinated.

New cases by health region include:

  • 70 cases in Winnipeg, 26 people who are not fully vaccinated
  • 64 cases in Southern people, 47 who are not fully vaccinated
  • 26 cases in Interlake-Eastern, 16 people who are not fully vaccinated
  • 23 cases in Prairie Mountain, 18 people who are not fully vaccinated
  • 15 cases in Northern, nine people who are not fully vaccinated

 

Manitoba's test positivity rate is 5.7 per cent. Winnipeg's five-day rate is 3.7 per cent.

There are 1,691 active cases and 66,471 recoveries.

One person died, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,345.

Deaths include:

  • a female in her 50 from the Winnipeg health region (reported Thursday)
  • a male in his 60s from Southern Health-Sante Sud (reported Thursday)
  • a male in his 50s from the Winnipeg health region (reported Thursday)
  • a male in his 90s from the Winnipeg health region (reported Friday)

 

There are 142 people in the hospital, with 87 of those cases being active. Fifty-three people with active cases are not vaccinated, 29 people are fully vaccinated, and five people are partially vaccinated. 

There are 35 people in intensive care, with 27 people having active cases. All but one of the people with active cases are not vaccinated, and the other is fully vaccinated.

Misericordia Health Centre's Transitional Care Unit (TCU) Cornish 6 is in an outbreak and has been moved to Critical (Red) level on the Pandemic Response System.
