A 57-year-old man is dead after being run over by a vehicle in Cranberry Portage.

Flin Flon RCMP say they were called to Lake Trout Bay just after 11 p.m., where they found the man underneath a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, and it's passengers remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

Police say an investigation revealed the man had been lying on the road, in a poorly lit area, prior to the collision.

Flin Flon RCMP and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, continue to investigate.
