Manitoba RCMP are investigating a pair of fatal collisions involving off-road vehicles.
The first incident happened on Wednesday last week in Mathias Colomb Cree Nation (Pukatawagan).
Officers say a 21-year-old woman was travelling on the main road in the community at around 1:30 a.m. when she lost control and rolled.
The woman and her two passengers, a 32-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman, were thrown from the quad onto the road. No one was wearing a helmet.
The three females were transported to the nursing station, where both 21-year-olds were treated and released with minor physical injuries. The 32-year-old was transported by life-flight to Winnipeg, where she succumbed to her injuries on Friday.
Meanwhile, Steinbach RCMP are investigating after an off-road vehicle rolled on Road 53 N at the intersection with Road 39 E in the RM of Tache early Saturday morning.
Officers believe that a quad, operated by a 25-year-old male from Landmark, was travelling on Road 53 N when he attempted to make a turn but lost control of the machine. The quad rolled onto the road, ejecting the operator.
The 25-year-old, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Steinbach RCMP continue to investigate.
