One of the sure signs that the holiday season is here is the sound of Christmas Carols and the jingle of bells ringing in the season. Put the two together and you have absolute magic. Nothing puts the shimmer on a good Christmas melody like the sound of handbells.

This Sunday, December, 3rd at 2:00pm at Chapel Lawn the Ring Out Handbell Quartet will be performing a “Christmas Handbell Ringing” concert.

This is sure to be a delightful concert that will bring Christmas cheer to all those who attend. All monies from the concert will be donated to The Christmas Cheer Board to help all those in need.

This concert will feature all of the holiday favorites performed by just four handbell ringers. Together they will be making use of the four octaves of bells they available to them. As Ring Out member Morna-June Morrow says, “With a quartet…some of us may be playing ten, twelve, or sixteen bells, and we are constantly moving…your feet have got to be able to move because we go into each other’s territory…so you have to be very friendly.”

This is sure to be a delightful, concert to help ring in the holiday season. All of the proceeds for the concert will be going to the Winnipeg Christmas Cheer Board, so it is a great opportunity to take in some great music and contribute to a very worthwhile cause.

The concert featuring the Ring Out Handbill Quartet takes place this Sunday, December, 3rd at 2:00pm at Chapel Lawn which is located at 4000 Portage Avenue.
