This Sunday, November 13th at 2:30pm at Chapel Lawn, the “Ring Out” Hand bell Quartet will be joined by the “At Last” vocal quartet in a concert they are calling “Bells and Voices.” This is a concert that will feature traditional favorites such as Simple Gifts and Amazing Grace, as well as some less familiar selections performed by each of the quartets.

The “Ring Out” hand bell quartet can regularly been seen around Winnipeg performing at various venues. As the holidays approach, the quartet  goes full throttle performing at churches, and malls across the city.

For bell ringer Morna-June Morrow, hand bells have been a passion of hers for more than fifty years. As a teacher at Oakenwald School back in the 1960s, Morrow was asked if she would be willing to direct a hand bell choir. Ready to take on any challenge, Morrow jumped at the chance and with the help of a forty minute crash course, taught by one of here colleagues the passion for bell ringing stuck. She has been a member of the “Ring Out” hand bell choir since its formation.

The “At Last” vocal quartet is made up of women who sing barbershop selections. Performing at events such as the Red River Exhibition, they put on a show that creates pure joy amongst audience members.

Together these two amazing ensembles will be performing several selections that are sure to entertain. A silver collection will be collected; with all proceeds going to the International Music Camp Scholarship fund.

This is going to be a very fun and delightful concert put on by these eight very fine musicians. The concert takes place this Sunday, November 13th at 2:30pm at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue.
