People living in Winnipeg and parts of southeastern Manitoba are waking up to a winter wonderland Friday.
A strong system rolled through the province Thursday into Friday morning, bringing significant snowfall to Winnipeg and areas close to the American and Ontario border.
A snowfall warning remains in effect for some portions of the province, with 10 to 20 centimetres of snow expected.
The snow will taper later this morning.
Roads both in and around Winnipeg are extremely slippery. Motorists are encouraged to leave early and drive to the conditions.
