Love, hope, Honens, strings and more. Our last show of February!

Confession. I was a hippy through my teens and early twenties. Tie-dyed shirts, long hair, Grateful Dead and Santana concerts, dangling dove earring (yes, it's true), and I probably still am a hippy at heart. So, I have programmed an hour of music about love and an hour of music themed as hope. I 'hope" you will enjoy the music.

The Honens Piano Competition crowned its 2015 winner back in October, and Italian pianist Luca Buratto hoisted the significant prize: $100,000 cheque and a significant artist-development contract valued at over $500,000. I will feature several performances from his 2015 Honens Piano Competition recital, including solo works and also pieces featuring James Campbell and Isabel Bayrakdarian.

Tune in to find out what else is in store for our last show of February. Spring is around the corner!
