Sprague RCMP continue to investigate the disappearance of a 70-year-old woman.

Ywanna (Jean) Backman was last seen on Friday, Oct. 13, and last made contact with a friend on Oct. 15. 

This past weekend from Oct. 20 to 23, RCMP units including Search and Rescue (SAR), Police Dog Services (PDS), Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), along with the Office of the Fire Commissioner, the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA), volunteers from Winnipeg Search and Rescue as well as residents from the surrounding area, conducted an extensive ground search. 

Police say that search failed to produce any results and Ywanna (Jean) Backman, from the RM of Piney, has yet to be located.
