September is Arthritis Awareness month. Colin Johnson is 15 years old and he has arthritis in his hands. He's also a pianist and, believe it or not, playing the piano really helps him.  Listen to his story in this interview on Morning Light with host Michael Wolch.

Winnipeg's Colin Johnson is a typical 15 year old. He has a brown belt in karate, takes swimming lessons and plays video games. But, unlike most kids his age, Colin was diagnosed with childhood arthritis at just 19 months old.

Today, Colin has been in remission for a few years, but his hands, knees and ankles are still affected. He plays piano to help keep his hands and fingers nimble due to the swelling and joint stifness. Recently, he received the silver medal in piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music.

As Youth Ambassador for the Arthritis Society in Manitoba, Colin enlightens us about one of the most chronic diseases among Canadian children and adolescents.
