The Manitoba government has announced plans to cut non-commercial vehicle registration fees by a further 10 per cent on July 1.

Infrastructure Minister Ron Schuler says that comes on top of a 10 per cent cut last year.

Shuler says the decrease in the fee to $129 for most cars, sport utility vehicles and light trucks will save Manitoba drivers $15 million.

He says it's part of a plan to reverse a 30 per cent increase implemented in 2012 by the previous NDP government.
